2-D. Gargoyle Reflection Febuary 23, 2012
1.) Evaluate: What are the good/strong parts of your project? What is done well? Why?
I think the strong parts are the details that I put into the project. I think the whole project is done well. I spent a lot of time on it.
2.) Evaluate:) What do you think you could have done better on this project? Why?
I could have made the eye lid on the left eye better. It is not smooth.
3.) Describe the attributes of your theme/unity: what is the design like? Why?
The whole thing is very humanistic and it looks realistic. The face looks emotionless because he really doesnt look emtional.
4.) Desribe the form of your gargoyle head: what kind of 3-D shape does it have (cylindrical, spherical, egg-like, bumpy, smooth)? Why?
I made it human head like. Because I wanted it to look realistic.
5.) What are the main one or two points of emphasis for your gargoyle? How did you do this? Why did you do it that way?
The main point on the face is the mask. I did this by cutting a slab of clay and placing it on the face and cutting it the way I wanted it to be. So it was easier.
6.) Metacognate: What did you learn from this project that you could appy to others? What lessons could be applied to life in general? Why?
I learned that you nneed to take your time when you are working on a project. I need to be patienct when I am working. Because I need to take my time on things.
7.) Evaluate the design of your gargoyle: Why did you do it the way you did? Was it planned? What is by chance? Did your final project look the way you thought it would in the beginning? Why or why not? Elaborate...
I wanted it to resemble the Phantom of the Opera. Yes it was planned. Nothing really happened by chance. My final project turned out the way I wanted it to. Because I worked slow.
8.) Is this a worthwhile project that Purdy should continue to use? What should Mr. Purdy do to improve this project for the future? Why?
Yes I think this is a worthwhile project. I think you should give us more time. Because people rushed through the whole project.
