1. Evaluate: What are the good/strong parts of your project? what is done well? Why?
I think the strong parts of my project are my form and my scratchings on the side. I think it is all done well because I took my time on these projects.
2: Evaluate: What do you think you could have done better on this project? Why?
I could have smoothed out the clay before I put it in the form because I had a difficult time smoothing it out when it was semidry.
3: Describe the attributes of your theme/unity: what is the design like? Why?
My theme for the first one was random and the theme for the second one was music because I like music.
4: Describe the form of your vessel: what kind of 3-D shape does it have (cylindrical, sherical, egg-like, bumpy, smooth)? Why? What do you think you will keep/contain in your vessel?
My first one is random and smooth and my second one is smooth with etchings on the side.
5: What is the primary texture on your vessel? How did you do this? Why did you do it that way?
The textures are smooth and smooth with etchings. I did this by using slip to smooth out the bumps and I used a needle tool to sketch in a design. I did this because I wanted two extremes.
6: Metacognate: what did you learn from this project that you could apply to others? What lessons could be applied to life in general? Why?
I learned to check the slab roller before I roll the clay. This could be applied to life by looking at things closer because you do not want to not look over something before you start something.
7: Evaluate the design of your vessel: why did you do it the way you did? Was it planned? What is by chance? Did your final project look the way you thought it would in the beginning? why or why not? Elaborate on this process...
I created a form vessel and it was created by chance. I created mugs that were square shaped and I wanted to make a set. They turned out the way I wanted them.
8: Is this a worthwhile project that Mr. Purdy should continue to use? What should Mr. Purdy do to improve this project for the future? Why?
Yes this project is worth while but I would not have the exceeding be four vessels because it takes too much time.
