1.) Evaluate: What are the good/ strong parts of your project? What is done well? Why?
The strong parts of my sculpture are the shape of each of the petals and the texture of the petals. They look realistic. I took my time and worked slow.
2.) Evalutae: What do you think you could have done better on this project?
I could have built it a little bigger.
3.) Describe the attributes of your theme / unity: What is the design like? Why?
The attributes of my sculpture are the repetativeness of the petals. The design is round because flowers are round.
4.) Describe the form of your sculpture: what kind of 3-D shape does it have (cylindrical, spherical, egg-like, bumpy, smooth)? Why?
The form of my project is rose/flower like. I wanted it to be a rose.
5.)What inspired you to make your design this way? What is the primary meaning of your
design? How did you do this? Why did you do it that way?
I was inspired by the beauty of a rose. The meaning of my piece is beauty comes in all forms. I did this because anything can be beautiful. I did this by smoothing out the clay.
6.) Metacognate: What did you learn from this project that you could apply to others? What lessons could be applied to life in general? Why?
I learned that it takes along time to finish projects. I could apply this to life by taking my time to finish things. Because you need to take your time.
7.) Evaluate the design of your sculpture: Why did you do it the way you did? Was it planned? What is by chance? Did your final project look the way you thought it would in the beginning? Why or why not? Elaborate on the process....
I did this because I love flowers. It was planned. No it looks more like a flower than a rose. The petals are too pointy.
8.) Is this a worthwhile project that Purdy should continue to use? What should Mr. Purdy do to improve this project for the future? Why?
Yes, it should have a longer time to work on it. It takes a long time to get this project perfect.
